A Bit About Me

My home is Vancouver, BC in Canada, born and raised. I have always loved to travel and had it instilled in me from a young age. When I was 12, my parents packed up all four of us children, my Dad took a six month sabbatical from his law practice and took us on a travel adventure through the US and Canada with a few weeks in Europe for 4 1/2 months. Yup, he pulled us all out of school and with our trailer in tow, drove us over 20,000 kms. We visited 25 US  states, 9 provinces and in the middle of it, we flew to London drove to Scotland, spent three weeks in Shetland visiting my grandparents and then returned to Montreal, and drove across Canada. I've loved to travel ever since!

My husband and I have raised our three children with the same passion, we've taken them Europe, Central America, many parts of the US and Canada as well as Mexico, one of my favourites! I spent my career as a CA (Accountanta) in Vancouver and have recently had the privilege of cutting back on work and being able to follow this passion with family, friends and even a little on my own. I started the blog to share requests for restaurants and hotels that friends would often ask me about. I hope you as many wonderful spots in this world as we have!
